We had a great first meeting this Monday 9/9/13. Our President, Nadia Lehtihet, gave a great outline of what we will be focusing on this year—the PA gubernatorial race, the State College mayoral race, and raising awareness around campus on women’s issues, the environment, healthcare, gun control, and poverty, to name a few.
This past Friday, a special episode of the Hannity Show on Fox aired, featuring our very own President, Nadia Lehtihet! Lastly, we held a riveting discussion on the crisis in Syria and how we think the United States should act. Even within the Democratic party, this is a highly contested issue.
Tomorrow, Thursday 9/12/13, we will be hosting Mayor Ed Pawlowski of Allentown’s press conference following the announcement of his run for governor. This event is a big deal for the Penn State Dems, and everyone should try to make it! It will begin at 9:30 am at the Allen Street Gates.
Today we take time to remember the innocent lives lost on this day 12 years ago, and send our thoughts and prayers to families of victims.
